In 2024, they walked into the Chamonix Valley chasing altitude, weather windows, and the simple promise of a reservation at the Refuge de l’Envers des Aiguilles.
Packs were heavy. Spirits were high. Twenty-four hours later, a long runout and a big fall (at 13-minute mark) rearranged the plan. The mountains had spoken.
