Chaehyun Seo, 22, has added another remarkable achievement to her already legendary resume. Just a week after sending 5.15a, she's onsighted Gorilas en la Niebla 5.14a in Oliana.

Chaehyun explained that the ascent came almost out of nowhere. She had originally planned to try harder routes for her project day, but the morning brought dense fog and heavy humidity, conditions far from ideal for pushing limits. Instead, she decided to hop on something “easier” just for fun, choosing Gorilas en la niebla as a warm-up challenge. What she didn’t expect was that this spontaneous decision would lead to a flawless onsight.

Despite the casual approach, the climb was anything but simple. The final section of the route was slightly wet, and the holds were slick from the humidity. Chaehyun described the rock as “super slippery,” making precision and control essential for every move. Yet she flowed upward with the calm confidence that defines her climbing style, turning a foggy morning warm-up into an elite-level accomplishment, another moment that showcases her extraordinary talent.
